Body College is dedicated to body-based tools, back by science, to change anxiety, pain and trauma.

The most important decisions your brain is making are ‘Am I safe?’ and ‘How much energy is it going to cost me to respond’.

We are constantly predicting what is happening inside us and in the world around us, based on what we feel and sense. We often ending up predicting the worse case scenario and doing default primitive responses that worked in the past.

If our threat detection systems perceive danger, the old parts of the brain trigger defence cascades of ‘fight-or-flight’ or ‘freeze’. Life is hard when we turn life-or-death protective reflexes in response to everyday events.

The good news is we can re-boot our threat detection systems and learn to feel safe. By connecting to feelings and learning to slow down our responses to intense sensations we can find ease, joy and happiness.
